Scrapbooks from her time as a student at the College of the Pines, notes from her education in New York, a diary she kept as the first professional librarian of the College, and photographs of the early College campus and her home. A small number of materials related to the Bandon, OR, Public Library.

The materials were donated to College of the Pines by Jane Bates-Smith, great niece to Arminda Bates. The materials were stored in the attic of the donor's parents following Arminda Bates' death in 1963. They remained in the Bates-Smith household until being donated to the repository in 2016.
